Make It & Take It Fall Container Garden - Thursday, Sept. 28 at 4:30 & 6 p.m.

Container gardens aren’t just for summer. Add some autumnal spice and glorious color to your fall landscape with a container (or basket) filled with cold-loving annuals, perennials, veggies, and/or grasses. Bring your own container or buy one from us. The cost of the workshop is based on the plants and materials you choose. Preregistration is required; class size is limited.

Fall Family Festival - Saturday, Sept. 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Celebrate Fall with us with kids' pumpkin crafts, Touch a Truck, Pony Rides (11 a.m - 1 p.m.), Bounce House, 4H's visiting animals, popcorn and ice cream, and more. (Most of these will be free!)

For the gardeners in the family, Chris Valley of Prides Corner Farms will give a free program, "Plants for Attracting Pollinators," at 9:30 a.m. Learn the best plants and why to bring on the pollinators, such as butterflies and bees. The program does not require preregistration, but come early to get a seat. After the program, see the honeybee exhibit by Hilltop Apiaries and enjoy a honey tasting.

Also, enjoy browsing the exhibits of six visiting artists/artisans. You'll probably find something you can't live without - or that perfect gift for someone on your list. Coming are:

Valerie LaVake, gourd artist

Candles by Laura

Patricia Ann White, whimsical cards

Steve Norige, wood carving

Carol Bower Photographics

Alyssa Norton, children's book illustrator
