Marci Martin


      




Marci Martin has been Woodland Gardens' official Rosarian for several years. She is at Woodland Gardens several mornings a week and is happy to discuss customers' rose questions with them. Call ahead to Woodland Gardens for her current schedule.

Marci has been growing roses since 1978; she now has 150 rose bushes planted at her home. She has been a member of the American Rose Society for many years. She is the President of the Connecticut Rose Society and an  American Rose Society Consulting Rosarian. In the spring of 2008, she was named the Outstanding Consulting Rosarian of the Yankee District American Rose Society for 2008. The role of a Consulting Rosarian is to “inspire love and appreciation of roses and their culture” and “assist and advise others about rose horticulture.” Marci has been an American Rose Society Consulting Rosarian for eight years. The Yankee District covers all of New England and Quebec.

Marci speaks to many groups about roses and plants and is known as a very lively and informative speaker.
