When is the best time to plant my new tree or shrub?
  Anytime the soil is workable, as long as enough water will be avaliable to the plant once it is in the ground. Our general rule: before the ground is frozen.
How often should I water a newly planted tree or shrub?
  Our rule is 3-5 gallons at a time, 2-3 times a week.  It is almost impossible to over-water a plant in a landscape situation. Once your plant is well established you can slowly wean it off water, but be vigilant with watering in times of drought.
When do I prune a tree or shrub?
  The best general rule to follow is to prune when the tree or shrub is done flowering.  
  However, there are many exceptions to this rule.

When is the best time to fertilize?
  Generally, the best time is Spring or early Summer. No nitrogen fertilizer should be used after July.
  Each plant has different requirements, however. Some plants like a basic soil, others like acidic, and so on. Please contact us and we'll show you the perfect fertilizer for your needs.
What is eating or infecting my plant?
  Just like people, plants can be prone to certain ailments.  The list is much too big to spell out all the possible diseases and pests. Give us a call or stop down and we'll determine your problem and solution for you. Often times, it is best to bring us a sample of the problem so we can quickly and correctly diagnosis it for you.
What plants are best for my landscape?
  We can't give you a tree or shrub for your yard without knowing a few specifics first.  You can come down and we'll walk you through the yard and show you what will work for your area and help you design your own beautiful landscape.  When you come for ideas please bring information regarding soil condition, light conditions, height & width requirements, and your planting bed dimensions. With this information we can help you put together the perfect landscape!
