I joined the Woodland Gardens team 14 years ago. After retiring from corporate retail for 22 years, I said I "wanted to play with plants." Realizing how little I knew and how much I enjoyed garden center retail, I sought to learn as much as I could. I read seed, perennial, and nursery catalogues; magazines and books; and had Leon and others at Woodland Gardens as great teachers.

Soon I was a part of the Connecticut Flower Show and agricultural fairs, and decorated the Governor's mansion for several holiday seasons. I currently do most of the purchasing for the store and I work with Clint, Luke, and Leon on tree and shrub buying, and with Fern and Marci on perennial and rose buying.

I was honored several years ago to be asked to be on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Nursery and Landscape Association.
